Shauna Erickson-Abou Zahr
Clinically, I aspire to honor my clients' life experiences to develop a strength-based plan for healing. I aim to support my clients to feel empowered to make the changes they want. I assess individual, relational, and societal dynamics that are impacting the client, couple and/or family to set individualized goals for therapy. I provide animal-assisted interventions with my dog, Dr. Spencer Reid, and serve as the Regional Program Supervisor for the Moorhead office.
I earned a Master of Science degree in Human Development and Family Science with emphasis in Couple and Family Therapy from North Dakota State University, and am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), and DC:0-5 Assessments. I am a North Dakota and Minnesota approved supervisor and AAMFT national supervisor. I enjoy traveling, time at the lake, home improvement projects, cooking, and spending time with my husband and dog.
