Heather Siek
I work from a strength-based approach to instill hope in my clients and empower them to reach their goals. I have my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology. I am trained in the evidence-based models of Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I also do co-parenting therapy; I believe a strong co-parenting relationship is key to children’s mental health. In addition to my work at The Village's Moorhead location, I am an adjunct professor in the Minnesota State University Moorhead Psychology Department. I love working as an outpatient therapist, and am passionate about helping others. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter, traveling, and doing anything outdoors.
Client Testimonials
"Heather is amazing. She truly knows our son and his needs. She works hard to ensure he has tools to support his anxiety and that our family is comfortable with the tools as well."
" Heather is beyond awesome. She is so caring and insightful but willing to be stern and speak like it is. We love her."
" Heather is beyond awesome. She has great insight but involves us in the process. She loves our son but isn't afraid to hold him accountable and doesn't make excuses to brush his behavior aside."
