Thanks to your generosity last year, we were able to make so many meaningful strides in enhancing our services, supporting our staff, and enriching the lives of our clients. Here’s a look at some of the incredible accomplishments your contributions made possible from the 2024 Giving Hearts Day donations.
Bismarck: Advanced Training for Specialized Care
In Bismarck, your donations allowed us to invest in training for Brainspotting, Theraplay, and Personality Disorder Certification. These evidence-based approaches enable our counselors to provide tailored and trauma-informed care. This has been especially impactful for clients working through complex challenges, ensuring they receive the focused support they need.
Minot: Supporting Families and Play Therapy
At our Minot clinic, Giving Hearts Day funding provided more funds for training our clinicians to better serve our clients services for both children and adults. With Brainspotting and Perinatal Mental Health Certification training for our staff, we were able to strengthen our ability to assist expectant and postpartum parents. Additionally, updated play therapy tools give children a safe and creative outlet to process emotions.
Expanding Reach in Alexandria
Your generosity has helped our Alexandria clinic expand its reach and resources. A new sand tray therapy setup will help children express themselves and process emotions effectively during play therapy sessions. Additionally, we'll create school-based travel kits, each containing a rolling bin filled with toys, art supplies, and games like Sorry, Jenga, Uno, and Guess Who, as well as conversation cards, magnet tiles, and Play-Doh. These kits equip our clinicians to provide play-based therapy in elementary schools, fostering relationship building, engagement, and interventions through play. By having these tools readily available, our counselors can deliver quality care on-site at schools, enhancing both the therapeutic experience for students and job satisfaction for our clinicians.
BBBS Mentorship
Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of The Village continues to inspire youth through mentoring relationships. Thanks to your support, we got to treat our BBBS matches to a Fargo RedHawks baseball game. Bigs and Littles spent the day bonding, making memories, and fostering the connections that help clear paths to bright futures. This day was just one example of how Giving Hearts Day donations are making mentorship more rewarding and impactful for everyone involved.
Empowering Intensive Outpatient Clients
In our Intensive Outpatient Program, your contributions funded new reading materials for clients. These books are an essential resource, providing valuable insights and strategies to help participants navigate their journeys. Along with books are therapeutic board games, giving clients more tools for building the skills they need for lasting wellness and stability.
